Call for Job Shadowing for Schoolteachers
Do you know how long a school hour lasts in Romania? Is teaching in Poland more frontal than in Germany? What grading system is used in Finland? Do conversations in a French teacher’s lounge resemble those in a Norwegian one? And how long is the lunch break in Italy?
We are excited to announce the opening of registrations for the FORTHEM Job Shadowing Programme for Teachers. This programme offers teachers the opportunity to observe the teaching practices of their colleagues in other schools from our partner areas and enrich each other through observation and exchange.
What is Job Shadowing for Teachers?
Job Shadowing for teachers allows an educator to follow one of their colleagues in another school. This experience is designed to promote the sharing of best practices, mutual inspiration, and continuous professional development. The main objectives of this programme are:
- Enable teachers to discover new teaching methods and organisational strategies in different school contexts
- Encourage the enhancement of pedagogical skills through direct observation and exchanges
- Strengthen or create bonds between teachers from different schools and promote a culture of collaboration
How can you participate?
Teachers interested in this opportunity are invited to apply through the open call. Please fill in the form beneath, indicating the selected partner school and the preferred period for the mobility. We will put you in contact with the teachers.
Practical information and duration of the mobility are to be defined between both schools and teachers.
The mobility can be funded through Erasmus+ grants. Funding is to be requested by the sending institution (your school) from the Erasmus+ National Agency.
