Admission eligibility

Important

EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation citizens apply for admissions for study programmes at „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens. Also, they are subject to the same admission and tuition fees as the Romanian students.

Step 1

Recognition of university studies

Important

The recognition of studies made in home countries is assured by the National Center of Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) of the Ministry of Education, according to the law.

Step 2

Application procedure

Prepare the application file for university studies with the following documents

1.

Photocopy of the recognition certificate of studies issue by National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas

2.

Baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent: 

Photocopy of the original if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian language

Photocopy of the original and certified translation in Romanian language for the documents issued in other languages

3.

Transcript for the last 2 years of high school completed abroad, with subjects and marks/points obtainted:

Copy, if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian language

Copy and certified translation (in original) in Romanian for the documents issued in other languages

Prepare the application file for university studies with the following documents

Birth certificate – Photocopy of the certified translation

5.

Photocopy of the identification paper: passport, proof of legal name change (if applicable, photocopy for documents in Romanian language / English / French / Spanish / Italian, and certified translation in Romanian for other languages)

6.

Photocopy of the medical certificate (in a widespread international language) to prove that the person to be registered for studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other illnesses.

7.

Portrait photography

Important

The Hague Apostille is requested for diplomas from countries which are parties to the Hague Apostille , issued by the competent authorities in the issuing countries. The Hague Apostille is requested for diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus.

Diplomas issued in countries which are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention shall be authenticated or accompanied by an authentication certificate from by the competent authorities in the issuing countries;

Legalization/Authentication is done by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country, the issuing country’s Embassy/Consular Office in Romania and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; for countries where Romania does not have a diplomatic mission or countries which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents shall be legalized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country;

Legalization/Authentication exemption is allowed under the law of an international treaty to which Romania is party or on a reciprocity basis
