Cross-Cultural Communication with Incoming Erasmus Students
The fothcoming Best Practice meetup will be organised by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Latvia. The faculty welcomes a vibrant mix of Erasmus students each year, bringing new perspectives, energy, and cultural richness to our community. These encounters are not only rewarding but also complex: what one culture views as polite or professional may feel distant or too informal to another. This dynamic, speed-dating–style event invites non-academic staff and international coordinators to come together in a lively, conversational format, engaging in discussions focused on real-world experiences, communication challenges, and practical strategies for bridging cultural gaps. Whether you’re new to international exchange or have years of experience, this is a chance to reflect, connect, and walk away with fresh insights on supporting intercultural communication in a meaningful and effective way.
