Call for Participants: Workshop on the Impact of Generative AI in History and Cultural Studies

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is inviting international students, graduates, and Ph.D. students to participate in a two-day workshop exploring the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the fields of History and Cultural Studies.

Workshop Details:

  • Dates: 17–18 November

  • Format: Keynotes from leading scholars, followed by in-depth discussions.

We are offering accommodation and travel support (up to 300 Euros) for up to 20 international participants, with a special emphasis on students from our FORTHEM partner universities.

We kindly ask for your help in distributing this call across relevant departments, including:

  • History

  • Archaeology / Classical Studies

  • Ethnology / Anthropology

  • Art History and Musicology

  • And related disciplines.
