Application Procedure

The application procedure differs between applying for a mobility for studies in EU countries or non-EU countries. The application procedure for EU Countries is managed by each of the ULBS faculties (please consult the Erasmus+ section on your faculty's website).
The application procedure for non-EU Countries is managed by the Erasmus+ Office in accordance to the information below.

All outgoing mobilities (regardless the type or source of funding) will be considered eligible only if they are approved, based on a Mobility Request, by the ULBS Board of Directors.

Why to apply for a Placement Mobility

Placement mobilities offer ULBS students the opportunity to undertake an internship in any public or private organization active in the labor market or in the fields of education, training, youth, research, and innovation:​
Small/medium/large enterprises, Public bodies, Embassies, Social partners, Research institutes, Foundations, Higher education institutions, etc.

  • You can complete your internship at an institution of your choice
  • Explore and discover a new country and culture
  • Improve your language skills
  • Can be employed by the host institution after completing the internship
  • Receive a grant for the internship period
  • Include the internship period in your CV to enhance your employability
Eligibility

Students enrolled in any of the three study cycles: bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral, provided they have accumulated all credit points for the previous semesters by the time of selection.

Final year students can benefit from Erasmus+ internships also in the first 12 months after graduation. To follow a placement mobility after graduation, students will be selected in the final year before the ending of the examination session of the second semester

Application File

Applications for Erasmus+ placement mobilities are submitted online to the Erasmus+ Office (via email: international@ulbsibiu.ro) on a rolling deadline basis. The application file must be submitted at least 2 months before the start date of the placement mobility.

Required documents

  • Eligibility and application form for placement mobilities (Annex 11)
  • Curriculum vitae typed in English,
  • Copy of invitation/acceptance confirmation from the host institution;
  • Student certificate issued by the faculty where the student is enrolled,
  • Documents certifying previous academic results: certificate or transcript from the faculty secretariat with the general average of previous years (minimum 6). For first-year bachelor’s students, the average of the first completed semester is considered; for master’s and doctoral students, the overall average of the previous study program is considered,
  • Document certifying the results of the foreign language test (written or oral, eliminatory). Students who present a certificate/foreign language certificate issued by authorized institutions with a minimum level of B1 are exempted from this test. If you do not have a certificate of linguistic competence, you will need to contact the Language Center within the Faculty of Letters and Arts for the linguistic competence assessment exam: centru.limbistraine@ulbsibiu.ro
  • Motivation letter typed in English, mentioning clear professional objectives pursued by the candidate during the placement mobility,
  • Learning_Agreement for Traineeships_form (Section Before the Mobility completed and signed by the student and the Erasmus+ coordinator from the home university),
  • Copy of identity card,
  • Copy of passport for non-EU citizens,
  • Other optional documents relevant to the requested mobility, such as language certificates for other languages, professional certificates, diplomas, certificates, attestations regarding student scientific research results, practice, participation in extracurricular projects, etc. (photocopies).
Signing the Financial Contract

Approximately one month before signing the financial contract, participants will submit the following documents to the Erasmus+ Office, as per Annex 13:

Reimbursement Documents at the End of Mobility:

Within 15 working days of returning to the country, participants submit the necessary documents for reimbursement:

  • Placement Agreement (Learning_Agreement_for_Traineeships) signed by the student, the Erasmus+ coordinator from both the home university and the host institution – Sections Before the Mobility, During the Mobility (if applicable), and After the Mobility,
  • Transcript_of_Work (Evaluation Document) or other forms of evaluation/appreciation from the responsible person regarding the Participant’s activity. The Transcript of Work also includes confirmation of the actual mobility period,
  • Final narrative report on the activity carried out during the placement (prepared by the participant with original content and signed),
  • Online survey from the Erasmus+ mobility platform,
  • Declaration of avoidance of double funding (standardized form in Annex 7),
  • Results of language proficiency evaluations (initial and final), carried out before the start and at the end of the mobility period,
  • Travel proofs (boarding pass/fuel receipts/public transport tickets, passport stamp, etc.),
  • Accommodation proofs (invoices, receipts, rental contracts, etc.),
  • Request for mobility extension (if applicable),
  • Additional contract documents (if applicable),
  • Other promotional requests of the Erasmus+ program (if applicable).

  • receive the acceptance letter from the host institution.
  • prepare the Erasmus+ financial contract
